DEDICATED HISTOPATHOLOGY LABS - MANAGE ALL OF YOUR RESEARCH IN THE SAME FACILITY

CBSET provides a dedicated histopathology laboratories to support the research endpoints of multiple safety, efficacy, and tissue response study types as required by the FDA.  Refined tissue trimming and device extraction occurs in the wet labs.  Devices are typically radiographed to evaluate device location and integrity.  Following tissue extraction, CBSET will histologically process samples to achieve the sponsor’s desired analytical endpoint.

Our histology laboratories, staffed with an accompaniment of certified and experienced technologists, offer a wide range of light microscopy endpoints, including:

  • Paraffin and plastic processing
  • Microgrinding and polishing of large devices
  • Routine stains (e.g., Hematoxylin and Eosin and Verhoeff’s Elastin Stain)
  • Special stains (e.g., von Kossas and Movat’s Pentachrome)
  • Immunohistochemistry

Additionally, should greater resolution be required, CBSET offers Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) capabilities.
