Current Services

Consulting and Education: CBSET’s founding scientific staff is recognized thought leaders in the development, assessment, and application of novel treatments for CVD. These individuals provide a unique basis of pre-clinical and clinical expertise as well as significant practical experience in contributing areas of science, medicine, business, and client service.

Interventional Cardiology: CBSET employs practicing physicians and experts who specialize in interventional cardiology. CBSET’s state of the art facilities are specifically designed for percutaneous intervention of the structure and vasculature of the heart and peripheral organs.

Surgical: CBSET performs surgical procedures such as coronary artery bypass graft and valve replacement.  New procedures are under development which will combine drug, gene and cell therapy with surgical treatment.

Diagnostic and Imaging: CBSET employs a complete suite of state of the art imaging technologies and diagnostic procedures in the conduct of pre-clinical studies.

Disease Model Development: CBSET’s experience, technical and scientific expertise enables development and application of specialized disease models.

Histology and Pathology: CBSET has highly developed and proprietary methods for processing, embedding, and staining tissues for histopathologic evaluation. CBSET personnel have customized procedures and are considered thought leaders in the plastic embedding and staining of implanted medical device.

Services Under Development

Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics: (Q2/2007) CBSET’s experience, technical and scientific expertise enables development and application of in-vitro and in-vivo kinetic models for combination products. Drug elution and polymer resorption characteristics, and disposition and elimination kinetics play a key role in the safety and efficacy of combination products.

Bioanalytical Chemistry: (Q3/2007) CBSET is in the process of installing state of the art robotic Mass Spectrometry equipment to be used in the support of GLP regulatory programs including Toxicology, Drug Metabolism, and Clinical evaluation of pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics, and combination products, and non-regulated drug discovery programs.
